This is a short arcade-style shooter where the main mechanic is switching polarities — light and dark — to survive and deal damage. It’s inspired by Ikaruga and was made in 10 days. I recommend playing with a controller & fullscreen. It might seem tough at first but once you get used to the bullet patterns it shouldn't be a problem ;). It is about 3-5 min long. It was made in just 10 days for the "Bullet Hell Jam 6"
Controls
KEYBOARD:
- ↑ (up), ↓ (down), ← (left), → (right) - Movement
- Spacebar - Fire
- C - Alt Fire
- V - Switch Polarity
CONTROLLER:
- Left Stick - Movement
- Button South (A) - Fire
- Button West (X) - Alt Fire
- Right Shoulder (RB) - Switch Polarity
(if you are having trouble starting the game using the play button. The spacebar will select and then you can enter fullscreen when the game begins.)
Match your polarity to enemy bullets to absorb them — or switch to the opposite to hit harder. One mistake is instant death, but you’ve got a few lives to learn the patterns and push through.
